Overview
Wren is designed to keep personal health answers on your device. The app does not require an account and does not use advertising or third-party analytics. This policy explains what the Wren app and website handle, where information goes, and the choices available to you.
Your onboarding answers, programme progress, preferences, and session history are stored locally on your device. Wren does not send those answers to a Wren server.
Information handled by the app
Information stored on your device
The app may store the following information locally:
- Answers you provide during onboarding, including tinnitus, sleep, hearing, and attention-related answers.
- Your programme progress, completed sessions, preferences, and reminder settings.
- Locally calculated scores and summaries used to personalise the programme.
This information remains in the app's local storage unless you remove the app or clear its data using controls provided by your device.
Subscription information
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Wren uses RevenueCat to initiate purchases, restore purchases, and confirm subscription status. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, product identifiers, transaction and subscription status, device and app information, and technical information needed to provide those services.
Wren does not send your onboarding answers or programme history to RevenueCat. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase information under their own privacy policies: Apple privacy policy and RevenueCat privacy policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Wren uses Apple's notification system for reminders you choose. Reminder preferences are stored on your device. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Information handled by this website
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or contact forms. The provider that hosts the website may receive standard technical logs, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time, for security and reliable delivery.
How information is used
Information handled by Wren is used to:
- Provide and personalise the 60-day programme on your device.
- Save progress and preferences between sessions.
- Process, verify, and restore subscriptions.
- Deliver reminders you have chosen.
- Maintain the security and reliability of the app and website.
Sharing and sale of information
Wren does not sell personal information. Wren does not share information for targeted advertising. Purchase information is handled by Apple and RevenueCat as described above. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect users, the service, or the public.
Retention
Locally stored app information remains on your device until it is removed through the app, device settings, or deletion of the app. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records according to their respective policies and legal obligations. Website hosting logs are retained according to the hosting provider's operational policy.
Your choices
- Change notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Restore purchases from within Wren.
- Remove locally stored information by deleting the app, subject to iOS backup behaviour.
Children
Wren is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact Wren using the support channel on its App Store page.
Security
Wren uses reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information it handles. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published.
